SPL101 – Introduction to Grammar
This self-paced course provides the student with a basic understanding of the structural components of the English language. This course will take approximately 20 hours to complete reading assignments, testing activities and writing exercises. The student will have up to 2 months to complete the course and will be provided with an e-textbook. This course also includes 3 hours of online tutoring.


SPL105 – IELTS 7.5 Preparation Part A and SPL106 – IELTS 7.5 Preparation Part B
These self-paced courses provide the student with English preparation for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) to band level 7.5. This course covers Reading, Vocabulary, Speaking, Listening, Language Development and Writing. This course will take approximately 100 hours of study to complete the readings, activities and assignments. The student will have up to 5 months to complete the course and will be provided with an e-textbook. This course also includes 5 hours of online tutoring.
Although this is an IELTS preparation course, it is also a suggested course to improve English overall from a competent to a good user.
SPL110 – IELTS 6.0 Preparation Part A and SPL111 – IELTS 6.0 Preparation Part B
These self-paced courses provide the student with English preparation for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) to band level 6.0. This course covers Reading, Vocabulary, Speaking, Listening, Language Development and Writing. This course will take approximately 100 hours of study to complete the readings, activities and assignments. The student will have up to 5 months to complete the course and will be provided with an e-textbook. This course also includes 5 hours of online tutoring.
Although this is an IELTS preparation course, it is also a suggested course to improve English overall from a modest to competent user.


SPL120 – English Pronunciation Fundamentals
This self-paced course provides the fundamentals of the way English is pronounced. It introduces the student to the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), discusses the terminology and oral anatomy that is used with language and the methods for making specific sounds. Audios and practice exercises are included as part of the learning process. The course will take approximately 40 hours of study with access of up to 3 months. This course also includes 3 hours of online tutoring.
This course requires a textbook which is purchased separately.
